A new chapter in aerospace innovation is taking flight in Georgia. PBS Aerospace, a global leader in small turbojet engines, has selected Roswell for its first U.S. manufacturing facility—drawn by Georgia Tech’s engineering expertise, a skilled talent pool, and a business climate built for speed.
Assisted by projects with Georgia Tech, PBS is advancing the next generation of compact propulsion systems that power high-performance drones and other autonomous aircraft. At the Institute’s Zinn Combustion Laboratory, faculty and students are testing PBS engines, improving fuel efficiency, and refining materials—turning research breakthroughs into real-world performance gains.
With production ramping up and a U.S.-based supply chain, PBS’ expansion strengthens Georgia’s growing aerospace sector and creates new opportunities for engineers and technicians. Together, PBS and Georgia Tech are helping shape the future of flight from the ground up.
Georgia Tech will award the 2026 Ivan Allen Jr. Prize for Social Courage to an Emmy-winning TV personality, chef, author, and humanitarian.
